About Laura

Laura Crandall, Ed.M. – President

Laura is a workplace communication expert and management strategist who helps organizations and their leadership teams use all of their data – even the emotional and interpersonal stuff – to create better successes at work.

Laura has over 25 years of experience working in industries that include manufacturing, hospitality and academia. Fifteen of those years were spent managing work teams. Her specialty work titles have included Frozen Fish Flinger and Co-Princess of Fun.  She is also an instructor at Harvard Extension School where she teaches about workplace communication and intergenerational management. Laura earned an Ed.M. from Harvard University where she studied Organizational Learning and Cognitive Neuroscience. She is certified in Mediation & Conflict Management, Inquiry-based Curriculum Design, Behavioral Assessment, and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS).

Laura is currently finishing a book on the most coveted behaviors in the American workplace and why they are so hard to find.

Slate Communication is based in Burlington, Vermont and Cambridge, Massachusetts.
